Karim received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law where he was a member of the Law Review. Shortly thereafter, he co-founded HIREtech, an HR Technology company specializing in hiring incentives.

HIREtech was honored by Inc. Magazine in 2011 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

In 2019 & 2020, Karim was named a Finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In 2021 HIREtech was acquired by Equifax. Karim is currently the Managing Partner @ Ascent Capital, an Alternative Asset Investment & Lending Fund and sits on the board of Americasa, a tech-enabled, affordable home retailer and community builder.
